Seeds Of Doom

The brief was to create a visualisation of a chapter/city from the book called Invisible Cities by Italo Calvino. Each student was given a different city.
Mine was Procopea and was about a traveller who stays in the same room of the same inn every year. His room has a nice village landscape view. One year he notices some movement in the distance and sees a child. Next year its 3, the next 6 and so on year after year until the whole window is full of faces from rim to rim. They all look alike as well. The traveller turns around to leave the window, but its hard for him as there are 26 people in his room.
After some research and thinking I came to the conclusion that we are nothing more than a virus, a plague to the planet. So I decided to create something that showed this contrast between something so natural yet very synthetic.
I decided to create an origami tulip as it resembled a mutated flower that looked pretty aggressive because of its shape.

l, F jS, YNo matter how many times I watch this video I don’t think it gets any less funny or genius. I dare you to not try and recreate this video.

l, F jS, YThis is the new video for the very beautiful and melodic song by Air entitled “Sing Sang Sung”. The video is very pretty and cute to fit the song, however my favourite video by them still has to be “How Does It Make You Feel“.
